“SO good! I NEED to see theatre like this to inspire my love of the medium.

- Reiko Aylesworth

“When I finished reading this play I immediately read it through a second time. This play combines an experimental concept with true to life experiences that truly hit home. The playwright has framed characters that speak so truthfully to sexual identity, mental illness, sexual trauma & the general feeling of living in a world that is out of your control.”

- Hailey Green, New Play Exchange

Sample Monologue:

Crystal is attached to her god by a red string. Throughout her life, she feels a tug. Something that says "don't go there, that's not a friend, take the long way home." One day, the tug stops. Her god abandons her. In the aftermath, she decides to conduct an experiment- a boy named Henry is abandoned by his mother in his infancy and born to believe that the skies are empty. Through a series of chance encounters, Henry and his mother get closer and closer to reuniting. Will the experiment give Crystal the answers she's looking for, or leave her more hopeless than when she started?

VERSE: A Horrible, Horrible Tragedy

Directed by Rhett Goldman and Addison Vaughn

Film Directed and Edited by Rhett Goldman

Workshop Production: PrideFest @ The Tank NYC

Produced by The Club Creates

Henry can't stop leaving creepy voicemails to his ex-girlfriend, Laura, or booty-calling his freshman year-roommate, Rex. Henry and Laura switch bodies (naturally), Laura gets in a car crash as Henry and dies (duh), so Henry (as Henry) ceases to exist and he must live his days as Henry-Laura (Henry in Laura's clothes) (no shit).

Based on the experimental spirit of 90’s New Queer Cinema, this film-theatre hybrid is an absurd, sexy, and unforgettable exploration of sexuality and gender.
